I used this Bean Plant Diary with my Y1 class when focussing on these objectives in science: - I communicate my findings by talking about my work and through drawings and charts. - I use my knowledge to recognize, identify and describe a range of common plants, animals and natural events. - I name and describe external parts or features of plants, humans and other animals, such as size of leaf or coat colour.
